  7.     This is a fairly simple modification that can be made to any phone.   All
  8. it does is allow you to take any 2 lines in your house and create a party
  9. line.  So far I have not heard of any problems with it from my friends that
  10. have set one up and I have not had any either.  There is one thing that you
  11. will notice when you are one of the two people who is called by a person with
  12. this box.  The other person will sound a little bit faint.  I could overcome
  13. this with some amplifiers but then there wouldn't be very many of these boxes
  14. made.  I think that the convenience of having two people on line at any one
  15. time will make up for the minor volume loss.

  47.     In some houses the black and yellow are already wired in others you will
  48. have to go out to your box and rewire it.  A good way to figure out which line
  49. is which is to take the phone you are looking for off the hook.  Then you only
  50. need to take the red and green wires entering your phone and hook them to the
  51. different pairs of red and green going into the house.  You can't hurt any-
  52. thing in the phone or telephone by probing.  When you find the pair that you
  53. want take the black from your line and attach it to the red of the other line
  54. then take the yellow and attach it to the green line.  Now you are all set to
  55. go.  For people with rotary phones you can have one person call you then place
  56. the second call out to the other person.  Though not a phreakers tool, the
  57. brown box can be phun.
